Changes to grid management charges from 1 January 2023

The Consumer and Market Authority (ACM) has set the grid management tariffs. A household with a gas and electricity connection will pay 10.02 euros more per month next year. The increase is mainly due to higher energy prices.

Network operators’ tariffs are regulated by law. Regulator ACM determines how much grid management fees they can charge consumers and businesses. Those costs are part of the energy bill. The 3 largest grid operators have issued a press release about the hefty price increases (between 20 – 50%) in transmission charges, you can read them here:

The temporary reduction of VAT on energy to 9% from 1-7-2022 has been reversed to the regular rate of 21% from 1-1-2023.
