Energy saving obligation

As an entrepreneur, you can't escape it. If you have a consumption of 50,000 kWh or 25,000 m3 of natural gas or more, you are obliged under the Environmental Management Act to take energy-saving measures with a payback period of 5 years or less. This is the energy saving obligation.

Within EAB digitaal, we have developed a tool to ensure these obligations for your organisation! You thus have insight into the various recognised measures and their progress. You will also be fully supported by one of our specialists.

If you fail to comply with these measures, you risk a fine of up to €81,000.

Together with our specialists, we complete basic data and a baseline measurement, after which we draw up an action plan. In it, we describe measures to be taken, implementation and timeframe. New developments are immediately incorporated into the tool, so the state of affairs is always known. We submit measures via the e-Loket and provide reporting during inspections, demonstrating compliance with the energy saving obligation.

With the digital tool, you are compliance for the mandatory energy-saving measures. This means that your company has disclosed to the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) which sustainable measures have been realised and which are planned.
