Can you briefly introduce yourself and what is your role at EAB?
I am Linda, Manager Backoffice at EAB Excellent. I have been working in the energy market since 2001 and have worked for several companies in the industry. In May 2024, I made the transition to EAB Excellent.
What motivated you to move from a large company to a smaller one?
The small-scale and personal nature immediately appealed to me. From the first moment it felt good and familiar. I also saw a nice challenge in bringing more structure to the organization. In smaller companies, processes are often not yet fully thought out, which offers opportunities for improvement.
What positive changes have you experienced since working at EAB?
EAB really feels like a second home. The team is close, there is a lot of personal contact and the lines of communication are short. At larger companies where I have worked before, this was less obvious. Here you notice that everyone is involved and works together for the success of the organization.
What do you think is the biggest advantage of working at EAB?
The personal atmosphere and the opportunities to take on challenges outside your standard “job duties” in a broader sense. Precisely because we are a small company, there is not an entire department for every function or task. You get the chance to look beyond your standard range of tasks and take on your own initiatives. That makes the work dynamic and challenging.
What tip would you give to someone considering a move to a smaller company?
During initial introductions and interviews, try to get a good taste of the atmosphere and talk to different employees. This will give you a good idea of the culture and way of working. A smaller company often means more commitment and responsibility, so it is important that this suits you.
